Earthroot Level Object

The Earthroot is a plant that can grow from Earthroot Seeds. When stepped on or touched, it applies multiple buffs to the creature that touches it:

• Herbal Armor (EarthrootBuff): Provides armor equivalent to the character's strength/4 for a limited time
• Barkskin: Additional armor buff that stacks with Herbal Armor
• Rooted: Prevents movement (unless flying)

The plant is destroyed after being touched.

• Provides the Barkskin buff when touched
• Also applies Herbal Armor buff (armor = STR/4)
• Also applies Rooted debuff (prevents movement, unless flying)
• The effect is immediate when stepping on the level object tile
• The level object disappears after being touched
• Flying creatures are immune to the Rooted effect

• Earthroot level objects are typically found growing in the dungeon
• They can also be grown by planting Earthroot Seeds
• When a creature touches the plant, it receives the Herbal Armor buff (armor = STR/4)
• Also applies Barkskin buff (additional armor)
• The barkskin effect from the level object is proportional to the character's max HP

• Strategic Placement: Plant Earthroot seeds in locations where you plan to stay defensively
• Emergency Protection: Useful when facing difficult enemies if you can retreat to the plant's location
• Alchemy Ingredient: The plant itself can be harvested for crafting purposes
• Earthroot level objects are valuable for providing defensive benefits in dangerous areas
• Consider saving them for challenging encounters or boss fights
• Can be especially helpful before entering dangerous rooms or areas
